PoE Switches

PoE switches function as network switches or hubs that not only facilitate the transmission of network data but also deliver power to connected devices. PoE stands for Power over Ethernet. This technology adheres to two distinct standards: 802.3af (PoE), offering 15.4 watts of power, and 802.3at (PoE+), delivering 25.5 watts. IP Cameras designed with Power over Ethernet capabilities can be linked to any of the PoE Network Switches delineated below, enabling both the provision of power to the cameras and the transmission of Ethernet data via a single CAT5e or CAT6 network cable. This streamlined integration enables the seamless incorporation of surveillance network cameras into an existing network and facilitates connection to an NVR recorder. To ensure minimal power loss, we recommend employing high-quality solid copper CAT5e wire in conjunction with PoE cameras. Depending on the cameras' power consumption, it's feasible to establish connections extending up to 328ft from the PoE switch to the camera. For extended distances, the inclusion of a PoE extender becomes necessary.

As of the year 2023, our inventory showcases a fresh array of cost-effective PoE switches engineered to support integrated extended PoE (ePoE) power transmission spanning up to 250 meters for PoE cameras consuming 6W or less, all without the necessity of a PoE extender. Naturally, the utilization of robust copper CAT5e or CAT6 wire remains essential for efficacious long-distance power transfer. To provide a comprehensive understanding, we've prepared a video delineating the four distinct categories of PoE switches that encompass the ePoE functionality.

Security Camera Brackets

Anviz offers an extensive range of mounting brackets designed for use with security cameras, tailored to suit your specific installation requirements. We provide camera brackets suitable for all kinds of surveillance cameras in our inventory, encompassing bullet, dome, and PTZ speed dome cameras. We recognize that without the appropriate mount, your security camera system may fail to capture video from the correct angle – a critical factor for obtaining evidential footage in case of theft or property damage.

Moreover, safeguarding the camera against vandalism or environmental elements is equally crucial. This can be achieved by utilizing a junction box to neatly encase the security camera's pigtail. Employing a junction box is the most effective method to prevent corrosion on the video cable and maintain camera integrity. DC Power Cable

Utilize our DC Power cable designed for low voltage security camera systems, accommodating both 12V DC and 24V AC configurations. This cable facilitates a straightforward and economical extension of the power supply to your security cameras. When setting up wireless security cameras, the inclusion of DC power wire is imperative to extend the reach of the power adapter, ensuring a seamless connection to a nearby power outlet.

Power Supply Boxes

The CCTV power supply box, also referred to as a security power distribution unit, enables security camera installers to centralize the power source for multiple cameras. When used in conjunction with RG59U siamese cable or video baluns, the wiring becomes tidier and more manageable, all converging from a single source. This eliminates the need for individual power adapters for each camera, as all cameras can be connected to a single power supply box. Typically, the power box is positioned near the DVR location for convenience.

Operating the power supply box is straightforward: route your cables and attach the 2-wire leads from the power segment of your Siamese cable by securing them onto the screw-terminal panel inside the CCTV power box. Then, connect the power box to a standard 110V AC power outlet, and your installation is complete. No electrical expertise is required for handling CCTV cabling or powering your cameras. This approach negates the necessity of having a power outlet in close proximity to your cameras. Anviz provides power distribution boxes with two output voltage options and a range of amperage variants, ensuring you can select the most suitable option for your camera setup.

BNC connectors

Having reliable and high-quality BNC connectors or BNC video ends is of utmost importance to ensure the successful completion of any CCTV installation. At Anviz, we stock superior connectors that deliver dependable performance, particularly in situations where any failure is unacceptable. We provide an array of options including BNC Crimp, BNC Twist, and BNC Compression connectors, all designed for use with Siamese Cable. Additionally, our selection includes various BNC to RCA adapters for scenarios requiring video or audio signal transmission over RCA wire.

If you decide to go for crimp or compression BNC ends, it's essential to also acquire a BNC Crimp Tool or BNC Compression Tool to ensure proper installation.

Video Baluns

CCTV video baluns, also referred to as UTP baluns, offer a cost-effective solution for surveillance camera installations by utilizing network cabling such as CAT6 or CAT5e cables instead of traditional Siamese Coax Cable. With UTP video baluns, various forms of twisted pair wiring or 2-wire structured cabling, like RJ11 phone wire, can transmit video signals over distances of up to 3000ft.

To illustrate, consider setting up a CCTV System in an office building that already has CAT3 or CAT-5 telephone lines. Utilizing existing cabling like this eliminates the need for coaxial cable installation. It's important to note that only a single twisted pair (two wire leads) is required to transmit one video signal. In a CAT5 or CAT6 network cable, there are four pairs of 22-gauge twisted pair wiring, allowing for the transmission of up to four CCTV camera video signals per CAT5/CAT6 wire.

When selecting the appropriate Video Balun for your security camera setup, the transmission distance is a crucial factor. There are two types of baluns: passive baluns (non-powered) and active video baluns (powered). For video transmission distances under 1000ft, passive baluns can be utilized on both ends. For longer distances, Active Video Baluns are recommended to transmit video up to 3000ft. Another common approach involves using a passive video balun on the camera end and an Active Video Balun Receiver to achieve video transmission up to 1500ft.

Regardless of the UTP video balun chosen, it's essential to consider the wire quality as it directly impacts the success of your CCTV installation. While CCA CAT5e wire can suffice for shorter distances, for longer distances of 1000ft and beyond, it's advisable to opt for solid copper CAT5e wire.

Security Camera Microphones

CCTV audio microphones offer a convenient solution for incorporating sound into any surveillance setup that includes a DVR recorder with audio input capabilities. All the recorders available at Anviz come equipped with at least one audio input port. We provide three types of microphones, with two designed for indoor use: an in-line surveillance microphone that shares DC power with the camera through a pass-through connection, and a standalone security camera microphone. The latter can either be powered by its own 12V adapter or share power using a 1-to-2 DC power splitter.

Similarly, the third type is an outdoor CCTV microphone, also functioning as a standalone mic. In-line microphones necessitate the presence of an audio connector in the camera cable, such as our audio-video-power siamese cable, and should be positioned near the camera. Standalone microphones can be positioned anywhere using a Siamese Cable with BNC to RCA connectors, or placed adjacent to the camera using a power splitter and siamese cable with audio.

Additionally, we provide a selection of portable LCD monitors that serve as ideal choices for test monitors, mobile in-car surveillance setups, or CCTV systems.

CCTV Video Multiplexers

A Video Multiplexer serves the purpose of combining multiple video signals from CCTV security cameras or other analog video devices and presenting them on a single monitor. Often referred to as video mux, CCTV multiplexer, or color quad processor, these video processors enable the amalgamation of numerous video streams from indoor or outdoor surveillance cameras. These streams can be displayed in various formats such as grid views, picture in picture (PIP) views, or automatic sequence rotations through the cameras in grid or full screen modes. This functionality ensures that video from all the cameras within your CCTV camera system can be recorded on a recording device that possesses only one video input. This is particularly relevant for applications like portable DVRs used in mobile surveillance scenarios.

The term "Multiplexer" is commonly associated with 16-camera video processors, while "color quad processors" typically pertain to units with 4 or 8 channels. These devices find their utility in video surveillance systems that demand intricate monitor display configurations. This is often the case in projects involving multiple guard desks or monitoring stations. Furthermore, they prove valuable in laboratories and medical environments, such as operating rooms where HIPAA requirements restrict the recording of patient video. Depending on the number of BNC video camera inputs, these devices allow for the selection of various view options, including single camera, dual camera, quad/grid, eight-channel, nine-channel, and sixteen-channel grid views. The package includes a wireless remote control for convenient operation.

If your objective is to simply switch between your security cameras without the need for a grid display, we recommend considering our 8-camera video switcher.

DVR Lock Box

While your CCTV camera system effectively safeguards your property and assets, it's crucial to consider the security of your security DVR or NVR. Even the most cunning thieves can attempt to cover their tracks. Don't make the mistake of leaving your DVR vulnerable. Opting for DVR lockboxes is a prudent choice as they ensure the protection of your video recorder and the valuable surveillance footage stored within. We provide a range of security lock boxes, with the option of built-in fans or without, along with a choice of surface or wall mount brackets. If your CCTV DVR is less than 1.5U in height, we recommend considering our slim DVR lockbox for optimal protection.
